Submission Requirements

Participants must complete a multi-stage submission process designed to guide and filter teams throughout the hackathon.

Pre-Hackathon Deliverables (Evaluation Filters)

Teams are required to submit the following deliverables prior to the in-person event. These submissions act as mandatory filters to advance in the competition:

  1. Research & Problem Definition
    A documented background analysis supporting the selected health problem, including its scientific and clinical context.

  2. Conceptual Design & System Architecture
    A structured description of the proposed solution, outlining its operating principles, system components, and preliminary technical approach.

  3. Design Development Progress
    An initial development plan demonstrating technical feasibility, design rationale, and differentiation from existing solutions.

Only teams that successfully complete all required pre-hackathon submissions will advance to the on-site competition.

Final In-Person Deliverables

During the in-person hackathon, teams must present:

  • A final project poster clearly communicating the problem, solution, technical design, and potential impact

  • A live project pitch explaining the relevance, innovation, and feasibility of the proposal

  • A functional demonstration of the concept, either through a physical prototype or a digital simulation

All submissions must demonstrate scientific rigor, technical coherence, innovation, and relevance to real-world healthcare applications. Detailed challenge constraints and evaluation criteria will be provided upon the official release of the challenge.
